THRDA’s Fundraising Officer Receives Certified Fundraising Specialists’ Training

Terai Human Rights Defenders Alliance’s  Fundraising Officer Sanjeev Kumar Shah recently participated in a Certified Fundraising Specialists Training of Trainers organized by Nepal Center for Philanthropy and Development.

Trainer Prof. Bekay Ahn, CFRE President of International Council for Non Profit Management,conducted the training session for 10 days.

During the training, Ahn talked about Introduction and importance of philanthropy, Fundraising management; visioning and fundraising plan, current and prospective donor research, case statement for fundraising, securing fundraising gift, building and sustaining a relationship with donors, capital fundraising, fundraising ethics and accountability among others.

Finally, Certified Campaign Manager’s Certificates were distributed to the participants .

After participation in the training and obtaining the CCM certificate, he  shared his experiences and knowledge with the THRD Alliance team.

“I was delighted to participate in such a training organized in the country for the first time. The training was fruitful as I was able to learn about the philanthropy, fundraising process, how to reach to prospective donors as well as how to make strategies for the fundraising. I think the training will be helpful for me to develop strategic plans for the THRD Alliance along with proposals,” said Shah.
